The project director for this website is Robert G. Hill, Architect, FRAIC, Toronto, Ont. CANADA. He has served as Editor and Compiler of the Biographical Dictionary of Architects in Canada 1800-1950 since 1982, and this resource is now available online at www.dictionaryofarchitectsincanada.org This website received an Award of Excellence (Media Category) from the Toronto Historical Board in 2010.
Mr. Hill received an Honours Degree in Architecture from the University of Toronto, as well as an Honours Degree in Architectural Technology from Ryerson Polytechincal Inst. (now Ryerson University). He is a registered architect and Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, and he is the recipient of the largest Private Scholars Grant ever awarded by the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council (Ottawa), as well as recipeint of research grants from the Bronfman Foundation (Montreal), the Ontario Arts Council (Toronto), the Massey Foundation (Port Hope) and from the Canada Council (Ottawa).
